God is Smiling and Takes Delight in You as You Stand for Restoration

DEVOTIONAL:
Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

Is there anything better than having someone genuinely smile at you? It’s one of those universal signs of being greeted with delight and happiness. I know you all have that desire for a simple smile of pleasure come your way from your spouse. I also know that that smile is probably not currently being sent your direction by them. But today, be reminded of who is smiling at you. In these moments, it's crucial to remember that God is not only with you but that He takes great delight in you as you persevere. Zephaniah 3:17 beautifully reminds us of God's love and joy in His people.

Imagine for a moment a loving parent watching their child take their first steps. The sheer joy and delight that shines through their smile as they witness this milestone. In the same way, God smiles upon you as you stand for the restoration of your marriage. He takes great pleasure in your faith and commitment, knowing the depth of your love and desire for reconciliation.

Not only does God smile upon you, but He also rejoices over you with gladness. He sees your unwavering faith and determination to trust Him amidst the storm. Even when the circumstances seem bleak, God celebrates your faithfulness. Your resolve to believe Him for the restoration of your marriage brings Him immense joy.

As you continue on this journey, remember that God's love for you is immeasurable. He promises to quiet your anxious heart with His love. In the midst of the turmoil, He holds you close, providing comfort and reassurance. His love is a constant source of peace that surpasses all understanding. Take comfort in knowing that God's love for you will never waver.

In Zephaniah 3:17, we also learn that God exults over us with loud singing. Can you imagine the Almighty God singing over you? This image portrays His overflowing joy and delight in you. His love for you is so profound that it bursts forth in songs of triumph and celebration. Let this truth resonate in your heart and strengthen your faith. God is not indifferent to your pain; He is actively working for your restoration.

In conclusion, as you stand for the restoration of your marriage, remember that God is smiling upon you. He takes delight in your faith and perseverance. His love is unwavering, and His joy overflows as He watches over you. Allow His love to quiet your heart and bring you peace. Embrace the truth that God is exulting over you with loud singing. Keep trusting, keep believing, and let the knowledge of God's delight in you fuel your journey toward restoration.

I Hear the Lord saying...
"I am smiling at you as you stand for restoration.

Beloved, as you stand for your marriage to be restored, close your eyes and find my face. I’m smiling at you. When things feel out of control, and you don’t handle things correctly, I’m still smiling at you. Can you feel my heart for you? You move me in a way no one else does. You are the one I love.

Even when you’re weak and feel disconnected from my presence, I’m still here, still smiling at you. I still see you through the eyes of love. Even in your mess, I still love you. I know you and believe in you, because I know who you’re destined to be. You are beautiful in the very depths of your being. Sometimes you get so caught up in everything that’s happening in your marriage and all the chaos around you—the things that fight to be noticed. But I want you to stop and see my smile. And then I want you to smile with me. I want you to be so fixated on my joy for what is to come that nothing can shake you. So as you stand for your marriage to be restored, never forget, I am smiling at you, will you smile with me?"

PRAYER: "THANK YOU FOR SMILING"
Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, humbled and grateful for Your presence in my life. Thank You for reminding me through Your word in Zephaniah 3:17 that You are in my midst, mighty to save, and that You take delight in me as I stand for the restoration of my marriage. I surrender my doubts and fears to You, knowing that You are greater than any challenge I face.

Lord, I confess that there have been moments when I've questioned Your plan and felt discouraged. But today, I choose to embrace Your truth and believe that You are smiling upon me. Help me to fully grasp the depth of Your joy and delight in me as I walk this journey. Renew my faith and strengthen my resolve to trust You completely.

Father, I thank You for Your boundless love and the assurance that You quiet my anxious heart with Your love. In the midst of the storm, I find solace in Your embrace. Pour out Your peace upon me, Lord, and quiet the turmoil within me. Fill me with Your unwavering love and remind me that You are with me every step of the way.

In closing, I am overwhelmed by the image of You exulting over me with loud singing. What a beautiful expression of Your joy and celebration! Help me, Lord, to hold onto this truth, especially in the face of adversity. As I continue to stand for the restoration of my marriage, may Your delight and singing over me be my strength and motivation.

I surrender my heart, my doubts, and my fears to You, Lord. I choose to trust Your plan and believe that You are working all things together for my good. Thank You for smiling upon me and taking delight in my journey towards restoration.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen
