Standing for the restoration of your marriage is without a doubt a stressful and challenging journey. It's easy to get caught up in worries about the future or regrets about the past. But as we fix our eyes on Jesus and allow Him to lead us, we can find rest and peace in the midst of the storm.
In Song of Songs 1:8, from the Passion Translation, the bride says to her beloved, "Listen, my radiant one—if you ever lose sight of me, just follow in my footsteps where I lead my lovers. Come with your burdens and cares. Come to the place near the sanctuary of my shepherds."
In this verse, we see the bride seeking guidance from her beloved, asking him to lead her to a place of safety and rest. Similarly, as we stand for the restoration of our marriage, we must look to Jesus as our shepherd and follow His lead. He knows the way, and He will guide us to a place of peace and security.
Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." As you stand for the restoration of your marriage, you can come to Jesus and lay your burdens at His feet. He will give you rest and guide you through the storms of this season.
In Psalm 23:2-3, David writes, "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake." Just as a shepherd leads his flock to green pastures and quiet waters, so too does Jesus lead you to a place of rest and refreshment. As you follow His lead and trust in His guidance, you can find the strength and courage to continue standing for your marriage restoration.
Let me encourage you to truly trust in Jesus as your shepherd, allowing Him to lead you away from stress and into a place of rest and peace. May you fix our eyes on Him and follow His lead, knowing that He is with you every step of the way. As you stand for your marriage, come to Him with your burdens and find rest for your soul, knowing that He will guide you through this stormy season of life.
Keep standing supernatural, we are right here with you!
